The 7th annual Garry McMahon traditional singing weekend takes place this year from the 16th to the 18th of October, the official opening on Friday 16th by Dara O'Cinneide @ 8pm in the Ramble Inn bar followed by a session of traditional singing in both the Ramble Inn and Leens hotel. Saturday morning at 10.30 we will have FREE singing work shops in Leens hotel until 1pm. At 3pm we will have the newly composed ballad competition in the Ramble Inn this will be followed by a singing session and from 9.30pm we will also have a singing session in Leens hotel. Sunday at 12 noon Aifreann na Ríocht as composed by the late Garry McMahon will take place in Abbeyfeale church. At 3pm on Sunday we will be making a presentation to Donie Lyons from Glin well known singer and musician who has toured with Comhaltas on a number of occasions The presentation will take place Fr Caseys GAA hall this will include a variety of singing, storytelling and traditional music The full program of events for the weekend are available from committee members or in the Ramble Inn bar. Some of the best traditional singers from all over Ireland and beyond will be attending this years festival.
